Last week, our team had the absolute pleasure of catering for Action Medical Research’s Dine with Davina Essex Charity Lunch event— an inspiring afternoon that brought together purpose, generosity, and incredible people. Hosted at a vibrant, buzzing venue, the event was the perfect blend of great food, uplifting entertainment, and meaningful fundraising. We were truly honoured to play a part in it.
An Event With Purpose
Guests arrived to a warm welcome and a refreshing drinks reception before taking their seats for a beautifully curated two-course lunch. With live entertainment, an exciting charity auction, and heartfelt hosting from Davina McCall, the atmosphere was nothing short of electric. Joined on stage by Nina Ambrose and Saski Singer, Davina brought humour, emotion and passion to the afternoon — creating a room full of warmth and purpose.
Every guest, volunteer, and supporter came together with one mission: raising vital funds for Action Medical Research and the life-changing work they do for babies, children, and families across the UK. The energy and generosity in the room were palpable, making it clear that events like this are about so much more than just good food — they are about community, connection, and making a tangible difference. Each dish was crafted to showcase bold summer flavours, vibrant presentation, and that fresh, feel-good energy you want from a sunshine-filled charity luncheon. From the rich, comforting textures to the light, seasonal touches, every bite was designed to delight the senses and complement the joyful, charitable spirit of the event.
